When visiting the Estate, make sure you join Heidi in the Meerlust wine shop. Here you will be able to enjoy a relaxed tasting of our full range of wines. The wine shop boasts a photographic timeline of both the history of Meerlust and the history of the Cape.
Standard Tasting
R150 per person
We offer a tasting of our full range of wines, including the Rubicon, at a fee of R150 per person. The tasting fee is not charged per person who purchases wine after their tasting.
Booking reservations ONLY required for groups larger than 10.
Seated VIP Tasting
R350 per person
Our VIP tasting will be presented by a senior member of the team, in our private seated tasting room. It includes our full range of current vintage wines, as well as an older vintage of Rubicon and one of our other Estate wines. The wines are served in Riedel varietal range glassware.
Reservations are required.
Old Distillery
The old Distillery on Meerlust has recently been renovated and can accommodate tastings for larger groups of up to 40 guests. Guests can select either the Standard Range Tasting or the VIP Tasting option.
